Mixed Up Chromosomes

I'm starting this blog to document my 17 month daughters quest, journey, and just day to day life with her chromosome duplications. When we found out, we felt we were stranded on an island and even the professionals that we had weren't able to provide us the support or assistance we needed. So my goal is to have a central place to put all of the information we've stumbled across to help others and to partially keep my sanity.

I'm going to post some from my other blog which is for my family and more personal.

Maddie has 2 duplications on chromosome 7, 7 p22.2 - 7p22.3 and 7q-35-qtr There are no other documented cases like it so we have no point of reference of her limitations or capabilities. I think she'll be able to walk and talk as she's very motivated!

She has an older sister, Victoria, who is 3 and is a great influence and motivator for her. Maddie wants to do everything and be everywhere Victoria is.
